I have been a Carl’s guy for years, though I’m rethinking my loyalty due to one repeating issue – I can’t get what I order. Let me explain. Yesterday, a Double Western Cheeseburger sounded so good. I pulled up to the drive-thru and was first offered the special Grilled Cheese Burger. I said no and then ordered the Double Western. Once we pulled away, I was dismayed to find the special Grilled Cheese Burger in place of my Double Western.
First off, I didn’t order the special! I have had this same experience multiple times and it seems to be unique to Carl’s Jr. Please hire someone that speaks English to take orders. I’m not racist and I don’t care what your skin color is. But at least be able to understand the difference between a chocolate shake and a strawberry shake (actual example).
Second, as per the sandwich itself, it was disgusting. If I wanted to eat a greasy Texas toast, overly cheesy, blob of grossness, I would have gone to Sonic. But I didn’t go to Sonic, I want to Carl’s. I expected to receive a burger that wouldn’t make me sick to my stomach for three hours, which this one did.
So, I’m disappointed. Please hire English speakers for the register and get rid of the Grilled Cheese burger for America’s artery’s sake.
